In the beginning, starting some thing new is exciting and euphoric. The possibilities seem endless and the future looks bright, as well as a little scary and uncertain. One can’t wait to hit the ground running. There are endless hours of research done so the quickest, albeit the correct path is chosen. Options explored; scouring the internets and talking to others that may have been through the same process. Then there is a sudden realization that starting that new thing may never come to fruition. The time spent may have been wasted. The passion that burns like the Chicago Fire of 1871 may be doused because you don’t have the means to get started. The drive is there, the ideas are there but something is missing.
Patience, a word I’m not too familiar with, has to be exercised. That burning desire is there, now it’s time to find a way to make it happen. Quickly would be great but seems next to impossible. Striking while the iron is hot is best, but it must be remembered that it takes a while for that iron to cool down.
Dreams can and will come true with hard work and dedication not imagination and procrastination. I’ve done the latter enough, now it’s time to make it happen.
